Read-only access via Plaid

Breakfin connects to your bank accounts using Plaid, the industry-standard financial data platform trusted by thousands of apps. We only request read-only access — we can see your balances and transactions, but we can never move money, initiate transfers, or modify anything in your account.

• Your bank credentials are entered directly on your bank's website — never on ours
• Plaid uses OAuth where supported, adding an extra layer of protection
• You can revoke access at any time from your bank's security settings or your Breakfin account

Encryption at rest and in transit

All data stored in Breakfin is encrypted at rest using AES-256. Every connection between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher. We use industry-standard key management practices so your financial data is never exposed.

What we never do
